Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend, Leah Claire Jensen Vincent, 84, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 25, 1942 in Caliente, Nevada, a daughter of Frank and Uneta Rock Jensen. They later moved to Deweyville and Brigham City, Utah.
Leah graduated from Box Elder High School in 1960.
Leah met Milton Vincent at Bills Diner and it was love after that. They married on December 16, 1961 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Leah was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was an active member. She served many callings including, Young Women's President, Primary presidency and Relief Society President two times.
Leah also worked at Lincoln Elementary as a cook and she worked at Blackburn Jones Insurance as a secretary for 20 years. She also was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Leah loved planning family parties, gardening, baking, scrapbooking, reading, camping, shopping, traveling and side by side rides with Milt. Her favorite pastime was being with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Milton; three children, Tyler (Julie) Vincent; Dena Keller; Dawn (Greg) Poor; one daughter-in-law, Karrie Dee Vincent; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her two brothers, Frank (Brenda) Jensen and Spanky (Cindy) Jensen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, Roxie and Burt Vincent; one son, Dennis Vincent the most favorite child of all of them, sisters, Rose Pittman and Linda Fichter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 am at Bear River 3rd Ward, 5870 N 4700 W.
Viewings will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 S., Brigham City and at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
