Paul Busenbark

    Gary Paul Busenbark, known as Paul was born Nov.24, 1941, in Brigham City, Utah, to Dee Lewis and Dona Elizabeth Bowden Busenbark.

    He was raised in Brigham City and attended Box Elder High School.  He joined the U. S. Marines at age 17 and served for four years.  Upon leaving the service he made his home in Oakland, California, where he resided for many years.  He returned to Utah in 1978 and lived in West Valley City until his passing on April 12, 2025.

    Paul was a very talented artist.  He could sketch anything and made masterpiece glass etchings.  He spent 500 hours painting a giant wall mural of the Space Shuttle Program that is in a building in Clearfield. Many astronauts have personally signed it.

    Paul loved animals more than he loved people; he was the animal whisperer.  His dog PeeSnow, was his best friend.  He fed by hand racoons squirrels, birds, and the peacock that showed up on his property.

    He is survived by his brother, J. Michael (Joanne) Busenbark of Orem, Utah, sister, Linda Cannon of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Debbie Nelson of Mantua, Utah; sister-in-law Mary Busenbark of Logan, Utah; along with many nieces and nephews.

    He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, D.L., Jerry, and Larry; sister, DeAnn; brothers-in-law, Paul Cannon and Brian Nelson; sisters-in-law, Shannon and Karen Busen bark; and his lifetime partner, Richard Stocking.
