Darrell K Tanner
December 13, 1941 —
February 10, 2026
Darrell K Tanner, beloved husband and cowboy,
passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2026. He was born on December
13, 1941, in Brigham City, Utah, to Herbert A. and Vera May Kimber Tanner. He
was raised and educated in Grouse Creek, Utah, where his heart still resides.
Darrell graduated from Box Elder High School and ran track while attending
Weber State College. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in Central America.
Darrell
met his sweetheart, Laura Nuttall, while studying at Brigham Young University.
They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1965. Darrell and Laura made
North Ogden their home and have loved being part of that beautiful community.
He split his time between home and the Grouse Creek ranch, working alongside
his brother, Allen. Darrell was a true cowboy and yearned to be in the saddle.
Darrell
is a true disciple of Jesus Christ. He loved his neighbors and was honest,
humble, and kind. He had many callings as a member of the Church and served
diligently. Darrell and Laura were called as service missionaries to the Ben
Lomond Stake Girl’s Camp in Eden, Utah. They served with joy and loved working
with their fellow missionaries.
Dad
was happiest when he was with his children and grandchildren making memories.
He was their biggest fan.
Our
family would like to thank McKay-Dee Hospital and Dr. Wayment and Dr. Rich for
sacrificing their sleep. Thanks to Inspiration Home Health and Hospice,
especially Bella and Taylor.

(Michael) Holmes, and Brooke Tanner; son, Matthew Tanner; grandchildren, Tanner
